Does one put things in different places than the other?

By is time you have completed your US Constitution outline and we have talked about its structure in class, so you know its general structure. That is, there is a preamble that states the purpose of the US constitution, followed by Articles and Sections that establish the institutions and powers of government in a specific order, followed by the Bill of Rights.
In this initial Discussion Board you will be be comparing the US Constitution to one other from around the world. Please go to https://www.constituteproject.org/?lang=en and click on ‘Constitutions’ near the top of the page. On the page that opens up, you will see a list of countries. On the right hand side of the list you can click the circle next to the word ‘Compare’ . Select ‘United States of America 1789 (rev. 1992)’ and then one other country, and then click on ‘Compare (2)’ in the dark options bar near the top of the page. A new page will open with the text of the US Constitution in one column and the second country in another. You can scroll through each constitution separately. If you would like to choose a different country from you initial choice, you can click on the drop down list where is says ‘Swap Constitution’ in that column.
What you will do in this assignment is comparing the structure and contents of the US and the second constitutions. These can sometimes be very long documents, so you should NOT read them in detail. You should skim the constitution you chose to get an idea of its structure, reading where appropriate. Think of two or three specific items found in the US constitution – such as the power of the judiciary, the membership requirements of the legislature, preambles, or the powers of the national government – and see if you can locate similar provisions in the second constitution. How are they different? How are they the same? You might look at this timeline of Constitutions to help on you evaluations: https://comparativeconstitutionsproject.org/chronology/ (連結到外部網站。)
There are two parts to this assignment;
1) You will make an initial posting of about 200 words detailing what you looked for and why, whether you found those provisions, and how these provisions compare between the two documents. You should also give some general impressions of how the two documents compare overall. Is one more detailed than the other? Do they have similar or different structures? Does one put things in different places than the other? What might this mean? Is something missing from one that is there in the other? What does that mean?

Discussion Post 1
A statute provides: “Whoever has in his possession any device, gear, or instrument specially designed to assist in shoplifting … may be sentenced to … not more than three years of imprisonment and to payment of a fine of not more than $5,000, or both.” Danika Stowe wore a long blue trench coat into a discount store. The coat had a hidden pocket beneath the lining. After her arrest, she argued that the statute was unconstitutional because it did not specify what items qualified as “specially designed” shoplifting gear, by whom the device must be specially designed, whether the item must be purchased from a manufacturer or altered after purchase, and whether common items of everyday use can qualify as shoplifting gear. Was the statute unconstitutional? Explain why or why not.

Roland Fallon, an “activist troublemaker,” witnessed a friend intentionally stop traffic on a busy Austin, Texas, street so that a car could enter traffic. Two officers approached Fallon’s friend to talk to him. Fallon began shouting at the officers to divert their attention.First, he shouted, “Why don’t you pick on somebody your own size?”After Officer O’Brien responded, “Are you interrupting me in my official capacity as an Austin police officer?”Fallon shouted, “Yes, why don’t you pick on somebody my size?”The police arrested Fallon for “willfully or intentionally interrupting an officer by verbal challenge during an investigation.”An Austin ordinance makes it unlawful to “in any manner oppose, molest, abuse or interrupt any police officer in the execution of his or her duty.”Fallon argued that the ordinance violated his rights. Was he correct? What would be a fair result?

Imagine that two neighbors (A and B) independently and negligently start fires, both of which spread to plaintiff’s property, one destroying plaintiff’s $100,000 house and the other destroying plaintiff’s $100,000 barn. Plaintiff successfully sues both. Imagine that defendant B has no money or assets. Under the rules of apportionment of liability, how much can plaintiff collect from each defendant? Would the result be different if the fires had merged to destroy both house and barn together? What would be a fair result?

STAND-ALONE PROJECT
MJ602 Public Policy and Criminal Justice
Stand-Alone Project: Concept/Issues and Policy Documents
(200 points)
You should begin working on the Stand-Alone Project early in the course. Each lesson provides a benchmark for completing the Stand-Alone Project in a timely manner while working through the course. You will find this information in the “Stand-Alone Project Benchmark” section of each lesson. Your Stand-Alone Project responses should be both grammatically and mechanically correct, and formatted in the same fashion as the project itself. If there is a Part A, your response should identify a Part A, etc. In addition, you must appropriately cite all resources used in your response and document in a bibliography using APA style. (200 points) (A 7-page report and a 3-page report are required.)
Your Stand-Alone Project entails the crafting of two (2) papers that might be adopted by a law enforcement agency to address racial profiling: a Concepts and Issues paper and a Model Policy paper. Racial profiling remains an unsettled policy issue, and as such it presents an excellent area for you to examine. The Concepts and Issues paper should be the longer of the two writings. Conceivably, the Concepts and Issues paper could be 7 pages in length and the Model Policy 3 pages. Regardless of the specific lengths of the documents, please do keep in mind that your Stand-Alone Project must be at least 10 pages, double-spaced, in length overall. Your two papers should resemble in appearance “concepts and issues” and “model policy” documents routinely prepared by the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP). That entity’s Web site address is listed below. Once at the site you should be able to download and print the papers listed below in the IACP citation, as model formats.
Part A Concepts and Issues Paper: The Concepts and Issues paper should be written in report format and cover the evolution of the need for policy in the area of racial profiling. The document should contain the following main components:
1.Purpose: Examine the patterns and practices that comprise racial profiling and demonstrate an understanding of the negative impact it can have on a community. Identify methods for detecting its presence and methods for eradicating and preventing it.
2.Definitions: List and define specific terms used in your report. Racial Profiling should be one of those terms.
3.Background
1.Constitutional Underpinnings
2.Legal Decisions
3.Research Study/Site Findings
4.Policy Components
a.Impact
b.Training
c.Data Collection/Analysis Strategies
d.Oversight and Supervisory Responsibilities
e.Handling Complaints
Part B The Model Policy Paper: The Model Policy paper is an outline of the salient aspects of the Concepts and Issues paper. The Model Policy document should be written in outline form and contain the following sections:
1.Purpose: Examine the patterns and practices that comprise racial profiling and demonstrate an understanding of the negative impact it can have on a community. Identify methods for detecting its presence and methods for eradicating and preventing it.
2.Definitions: List and define specific terms used in your report. Racial Profiling should be one of those terms.
3.Procedures
a.Impact
b.Training
c.Data Collection/Analysis Strategies
d.Oversight and Supervisory Responsibilities
e.Handling Complaints
NOTE: The Model Policy should not include citations.

Research Sources
Listed below are some excellent academic sources for completing your Stand-Alone Project. Also listed is the IACP Web site, at which you can access sample formats for the two papers you will be preparing. The Innocence Project’s website is another excellent resource (http://www.innocenceproject.org). Too, the ACLU Web site has some comprehensive and current information. You can access the ACLU’s Web site at www.aclu.org. If you do an online search under “racial profiling,” the ACLU Web site will be among those listed early on.

International Association of Chiefs of Police. (n.d.). Police officer domestic violence concepts and issues paper and policy. Retrievable via the IACP Web site at http://www.theiacp.org/research/VAWPoliceResponse.html.
Access the Web site and locate the “concepts and issues” and “policy” papers on domestic policy committed by police officers. The writings serve as the format for the papers that you will be creating to address racial profiling.
Whren v. United States, 517 U.S. 806 (1996). Retrievable at www.findlaw.com.
Whren states that an officer’s subjective intent for making a traffic stop is not a relevant consideration under the 4th Amendment analysis as to the reasonableness of a traffic stop. The objective reasons for the traffic stop must be constitutionally appropriate for a traffic stop to be valid.

The second to papers are examples that would serve to improve my paper (with comments from the professor how the paper should be done).

Hello,
I need help to revise a paper. The first to word documents are my work ( which is not a good work). The second to papers are examples that would serve to improve my paper (with comments from the professor how the paper should be done).
The last two documents are the instructions and the case that we had to work with.
My main aim is to improve my original paper to something better based on the comments of the professor.

Learning Goal: I’m working on a law writing question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.
Please use the slides, “unilateral care model”, “bilateral care model”, and “further variables” to help answer “Problem set 1”. All the information is in the slides to answer the questions in the first PDF.
Please ignore problem 1 “(1) Consider some of our historical case studies.” You do not need to answer this one.
Answer all the questions after this. I expect 5-7 sentences per question, maybe more or less than 5-7 sentences depending the question. Once again please use the slides to help answer the questions in the PDF “Problem Set 1”.
